Last ATAK Pictures ANNOUNCE NEW SHORT FILM.
Shooting this month for the Virgin Media Short Film Competition.
London, UK. - June 6th, 2011 - Last ATAK Pictures today announced the filming of its next short film. Entitled Dates of the Undead, the film tells the story of a Vampire and a Zombie looking for love after life and the problems that they face whilst doing so.
The film is written by Andrew Davidson for entry into the 2011 Virgin Media Short Film Competition. Last year the director entered the competition with the film 'Sorry Signs'. This will be his entry into the annual competition, the prizes for which include £30,000 towards a future production, new equipment and having the film screened on television and cinemas nationwide in the UK.
'With cinema and television finding a wealth of interesting stories about zombies and vampires that have proven to be profitable, this film looks at how the undead would react to their portrayal on screen.' Explains the director about the inception of the film.
'It's funny and it's cute. Hopefully it'll catch with people's imagination as a new look at those genres. It's a lot of fun.'
'Dates of the Undead' has already completed a day of location shooting on Brighton beach and will complete it's shoot this weekend. The film stars Samantha Baines as the Vampire and Jolyon Houghton as the Zombie.
