Today Last ATAK Pictures, along with Vimeo.com, have released their three existing short films in full on lastatak.com for the first time.

The move comes ahead of the completion of their fourth short film 'Hit and Run' and ahead of photography on already announced short 'They're Here' and a soon to be announced thriller, both of which are scheduled to shoot during the summer of 2009.

The director of the shorts, Andrew Davidson, is thrilled to finally have the films available to view on lastatak.com, recently saying 'It was always our intention to use the web site to release the shorts, but server space was always an issue prohibiting us from distributing the work to the highest standard.'

A problem that is not an issue with Vimeo.com 'By hosting the films on Vimeo,' says Davidson, 'not only can we now give people the films in full, but they have the option to watch them full screen, in the best possible way.'

Will future films see a release on the web site in the same way? 'For sure. The plan is that when 'Hit and Run' is done, it'll be on lastatak.com' says the director. When pressed for details on when the already delayed film will be compete, the embarrassed film maker is refreshingly honest when it comes to details on the films slow journey to screen. 'I've just been so caught up with other things that it keeps not getting finished. It's my fault. It's there, it's locked. We just need to sort the sound, and add the music. It will be done this year! That's a promise to everyone who worked on it.'

And what of 'They're Here'? 'That's pretty close to coming together, I think. We're looking at locations, hopefully, in the next week. We've been looking at different sorts of locations and are actually quite excited by one in particular which should make for an interesting look. We're quite excited by the idea. We should be doing that in the summer.'

What of the other short that has been alluded to on the blogs? 'Um, there's not much to tell at the moment. We're still working on the idea, getting a team together. It's a chilling idea.'
