Last ATAK Pictures ANNOUNCE NEW SHORT FILM.
Shooting in October and expecting a 2009 release in festivals.
London, UK. - September 14th, 2008 - Last ATAK Pictures today announced the development of its first short film in two years. Entited They're Here it tells the story of a frightened girl. Hiding from unseen foes, she phones the one person she wants to hear when all hope is lost.
The film is written by Andrew Davidson (Autumn Heart, Hit and Run) and Hayley Williams (Clear, The Hook in His Bones) and marks the first Last ATAK Pictures film to be shot in London, with an entirely new crew. 'Film is a new medium for me, and I'm excited to be involved in this stage of Last ATAK's evolution.' says Williams.
With feature film project 'The Musicals' still searching for funding and with last short film Hit and Run taking longer than expected to reach completion, Davidson is looking forward to directing again. 'Since relocating to London, I've been looking for the best people to work with on a new film,' he says, 'It's taken a while, to not only find the people, but to find the right project to come back with.'
They're Here is Davidson's first horror film. 'I think it's a horror film in the traditional sense that the horror is a metaphor. I want people to be scared, but at the same time really care for the girl.'
They're Here is currently is pre-production with shooting scheduled for late October. The film stars Alice Knapton as the girl. It is being produced by Hayley Williams and directed by Andrew Davidson.
