QUONDAM PRESS // 08.04.2004
On Tuesday 30th March, the eve of the Premiere of 'Quondam', a short article appeared in the local Staffordshire newspaper: The Sentinel.

REEL DRAMA PREMIERE AT UNIVERSITY

12:00 - 30 March 2004

A NEW independent short film directed by an award-winning Staffordshire University graduate will be premiered this week. Entitled Quondam, the powerful drama will be shown at 5.30pm at the Film Theatre on Staffordshire University's College Road campus tomorrow.

Andrew Davidson, a Film, Television and Radio Studies graduate, directed the short film. Andrew was the winner of Best Video Production at the recent JVC Professional/Staffordshire University Student Video Awards for a final year student film he directed called Autumn Heart.

The Quondam project also involved fellow graduate Kevin Brett, who was principal photographer, plus current university students who acted as crew members.

Professor Ray Johnson, who teaches media studies at the university, described the film as a "very powerful drama".

The film tells the story of 'Jack', who has lost all that is dear to him. Now dying, the ghosts and the mistakes he has made haunt him on a journey towards redemption.

The article helped boost awareness for the premiere, which was a huge success. As a result of the screening the film makers have been invited to screen 'Quondam' along with all the 'making of' documentaries at the Stafford Film Festival on October 7th 2004.
