In the quiet town of Nescience, where nothing really ever happens, lives an unassuming family with a strange gift, the Musicals. Although they try to lead a harmonious existence, their unique disposition has led to their marginalization from society. Try as they might, the Musicals can only communicate via song; something the local community is in vehement opposition to.
Against the backdrop of this oppression, stands the unquestioning nature of love, coiled and ready to strike. Tim Luther, a member of the local community, is soon to become helplessly enchanted with the daughter of the family, Rosa Musical. Tim will face a monumental battle against the odds to win Rosa, and the rest of the town, over, as all of a sudden things are starting to happen in Nescience. Fired by the imminent arrival of Judah, the world’s greatest and most beloved pop star, the town has begun preparations for the biggest concert in it's history.
Bursting with merriment, madness, and mischief, ‘The Musicals’ from award-winning director Andrew Davidson and composer Steven Coltart, is a musical for the new millennium, in the truest possible sense.
