Quondam's final full trailer developed very differently from the teaser trailer, which had been designed with a 'narrative' style. In stark contrast to that, the full trailer was created more organically and initially took it's cue from the first scene of the film. The original intention was to mimic the flashes and heart beats of the film in the trailer, but as the early edit was pieced together, the direct montage edit became more interesting and even sound effects were abandoned to add to the mood.
The final elements were the 'suspense' music and the processing of the footage to resemble old film stock giving the trailer a uniquely un-nerving quality.
